I am really on a role here.. so after the moth I grabbed my old Saito powered Unionville beaver and gutter it.  I was going to put a G46 in it.. but realised that this is way overkill for this model.  So I went with a G35 400 kv.  This should be fine.   I don't think it needs more than a 11X7 or 12X8 at the most.   I am going to try to get it done tonight and maybe some weathering here and there.  Just to make this thing mine.   On the flip side, has anyone put floats on this version at all?   I have a spare wing and maybe this winter will think of doing flaps... ;o)

Well, it's maidened and it flew great!   I had to add a bit more right thrust and increased the throws to 100% on the alerions.  Elevator at around 80% and some expo.

Landed great!  I really like this one!

Does anyone know what size floats from Unionville are for the 6' beaver, they appear to have a few sizes avaialble..

Rule of thumb: floats should be 70% - 75% the fuselage length.

seaplanesupply.com makes nice onces but they charge a fortune to ship to Canada.
