Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Active Electronics. Dave Edwards told me about the place. I finally bought a decent soldering iron too. Shipped quickly.

It's this stuff you want:
http://mgchemicals.com/products/protective-coatings/conformal/silicone-conformal-coating-422b/

I see you are referencing the silicone conformal coating.  Others recommend the acrylic version.
Which one is best for our use when float flying?

Hmm, good point. The kind I have is actually the acrylic one. I'm sure they're both good.

The good news is that if it keeps raining like this, we'll be able to host a float fly at the field soon.

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

I have to say, I kinda don't mind the rain today, this showed up for me yesterday afternoon  ;D

I could scarcely believe it as I placed the order on Monday! They shipped it out same day and 4 days later voila!

At 46-inches long this is a big plane for a 70mm jet. Quality of the kit and finish look excellent, but it will require a lot of work. Definitely the most involved build I have done to date. The good news is my parts bin should have everything I need except for a thrust tube.

Ededge2002

Well dosent that look NICE!! Where did you order it from? I guess it got there so quick because that thing is doing 100mph SITTING STILL!

Meanwhile im sitting here looking at this and out the window alternately.

Thanks Ed, yeah I was looking around for another 70mm edf for awhile and this one fit the bill, although it is ancient. This kit was first released in 2005! I ordered it directly from HET in China.

PS That's a mean looking hotliner! If its anything like the Rifle, it should seriously haul.

nice jet!

If you're looking for a thrust tube, check our this link...

That thing looks fast just sitting on your couch.

Its the FLAMES Ben!  Everybody knows a flame paint job makes it go faster.  Your Green Meanie is still going to be faster though

Than I ordered it directly from HET in China.

Hey Jeff, I often wondered about ordering from them .. did you have to pay duty/customs?
