Michael

I just want to thank Ben again for making this website.

I really enjoy reading it and participating on it.

Me too.  My only complaint is that when I check in on an hourly basis, while at work, sometime there are no new posts!

We need more general chat from the rest of the members, so we can hear what the rest of the club is working on, flying, or just thinking about.  The general chit chat that the few of us are enjoying would be so much more fun if we heard from the other 90 people in club.  Then, I would be better entertained while at work   ;D

Oh, and HEY BEN!  THANKS!

Yes thanks Ben for your time in setting us up and maintaining the website.
I've been doing my best to just straddle the line of what is acceptable to save the moderators work. As for getting the other members to participate I'm all for it.  but I doubt I will get anything done if that happens!  Thanks to those of you who do partake in the goings on here!
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Thanks Ben! You're awesome!  ;D

Piker, Edge - I'm working on the Freshman. It now has a 55A esc and E-Flite power 25, but I'm waiting for servos.  I'm also working on a Sea Harrier, but only got 400 watts on a power run. So I want more!  I'm waiting for a new fan and wil luse a 2900kV motor with 50A esc.

Of course there's always the "Greg paintwork projects" that never seem to end!

And I love the banter too. Especially Ed's edgy videos!

A buddy of mine is also doing an electric Harrier but he is fixated on the AV8B/GR2. Wish he would have done a FSR1. I don't have the exact numbers but I think he is running around 100V and 200A. He is using a Lehner motor with a KV of 750 under load turning a 31? blade 9" fan.

BTW thanks a lot Ben. Sure is a happy board with lots of cool stuff. EMFSO.org has gone awfully silent with the exception of Bruce.

Wow, the first day in a week that I haven't been on this site all day watching and I get a nice thank-you.
Thanks Michael for the sentiment, and everyone else for chiming in. It really means a lot.

Creating this site has been great fun and watching the community take off has been personally rewarding--especially after having such a negative experience that ended my involvement in emfso.org.

Rob, I completely agree about hearing from the other TEMAC members. I would add to that that I'd like to hear from electric flyers at other clubs as well. I think the TEMAC club being an organization with a field and a membership full of active flyers could serve as a great hub for the electric flight community in the GTA whether they fly at TEMAC or not. For example, I'm really happy to see Pat MacKenzie visiting regularly and providing his usual great advice.

I'd love to hear ideas on how we could engage the rest of the Toronto electric community.

Thanks again,

Ben

Papa

How about advertising that fact on RCCanada. Seems a lot of people use that forum. We could invite the electric centric to join our website?

Pat, and his brother Ivan, are long time members of TEMAC.

My apologies Pat. I guess our paths don't cross at the field much.

Thanks Ben!  Like Others, I am also on it all the time!  Love to hear everything that people are working on!  It's a very good site and it works great!  Nice and fast!  ;o)

Like Bill said!  When is the wind going to stop, there was a breif moment last night for about 20 mins.  Just enough to charge a battery and a 5 min flight with the Albatross.   I feel better now...

This forum has changed my life.

I even created a shortcut to it on my Droid phone.

Thank you Ben!
