Several of us participated in the now defunct Formosa race series.  Initialy there was a TON of intrest but as more rules fell into place and the harder it seemed to build a competitive plane the more were drummed out.  I would realy enjoy having a TEMAC racing class and have a couple ideas of what might work.

Something small light and maneuverable that isnt terribly dificult to fly fast and down low.  Low initial cost.  Something BNF of Reciever ready would be ideal.

I was thinking some of those "fun fighters" from HK could be fun if we kept them at 3S as 4S is just too fast!  But then we arnt supporting our local dealer network who Im sure would love to be involved.  Then I stumbled onto this ..

I think what we would need is a big named company foam arf that is cheap and readily available.

Please post ANY thoughts you have related to this as it could be a lot of fun next season!
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

In that case it's pretty hard to beat a Formosa.

Perhaps in addition to a regular race series, we could have a TEMAC "unlimited" class.
Put stipulations in place on size, cell count, model type and even price, leave the rest to the individual. This way it slightly favours the resourceful builder over piloting skill, but I can see it becoming quite a competition as pilots try to out do one another each race.

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

I promise you all that the Board are working hard to determine a fun, easy-to-access, and relatively low cost race series for TEMAC for 2013.....
