I was at the museum last year and got some good images of an RC bomber that they had on display with the Bristol Blenheim bomber.  I attempted to find out what plans or details they had of the model.  But no one there knew.  They also complained that they had no plans for the real one!  Lol!

Does anyone know who would make they kit / plans or anything?  Even if kit cutters had anything.  I looked online and can't find any plans from any of the normal sources.

I would really like to build one from Scratch as it has a nice Canadian appeal to it.  Plus it would be mint to have a camera mounted in the nose...

It is scratch built from plans. I belonged to the club, South Haldimand Skyhawks, back then. One of our, now late, members made it and was involved in the work on the full sized one. It was built by Russel McKay. It won the beauty contest at the international hobby show that winter. It beat a near ARF of a P-51 as the judge (the owner of the hobby show back then) appreciated the work put into it over the assembly work of the P-51. Sorry don't know which plans but if you phone McKay's general store in South Cayuga and ask for John or Steve they may be able to help if the ever inventoried their Dad's stuff.

Damn, just checked and the store is not there. There is listings for John and Stephen and Russel, which may be his widow's.

Hi Greg, here's a link to a set of British plans. It is a 40 size but you could scale it up if you want.
It's a Blenheim but it would be simple to extend the nose and turn it into a Bolly. There's one in
museum in BC and someone out there drew plans for one.

Jack.

It is very unfortunate that many of these great builders passed away!   I would have loved to speak with him and try to make another one.. I love the yellow and black stripped versions that I saw online.  It would be a great model for E-flite.

Jack / Simon and Stephen, thanks for the links.  I will check around and see if I can order some plans up.  Then it is off to the workshop to figure out how to cut all the pieces.   Might have to contact some kit cutters to save on some time.

Do you think anyone one makes a short kit already?  It looks like it will be impossible to get a Balsacraft kit.
