Yep, a good one for sure.

Anyone is planning to go to the field Thursday May 30th?
I finally got the P40 working and planning to bring it together with the ASK21 tomorrow around 5:45pm.

I know this thread's about tomorrow, but I maidened my F-22 Raptor 70mm EDF tonight.  Flew amazing, with CS 10 blade EDF and 2900kV motor, but sucked the 2200mAh batteries dry in 3 mins!  And they were hot!

But it looks nice and flew well!

Crashed my Tornado again - twice. It's a bu*&er!  I think I had a stall, in the turn with the wind behind me.  Only slight damage and a ripped servo arm and control horn.  And I think the fan has dropped out of position.  Do I fix it though? It's always been ready to bite me, when flying.

I have some people coming over at 8:00.. So my time is limited.  Maybe one or two small flights...

My buddy flew today and said it's nice right now.

Stopped by the field last night. The bugs are bad at the flight line. Make sure to have spray on. Too humid to fly for me.

Bobmic

Since there was no wind at all it was quite bad and the repellant I used didn't help....
Hopefully Saturday morning we'll have a bit of wind to keep the bugs off and cool the air a bit.

Today's weather numbers from Vegas look possible. Just bring out something that fits in the car assembled!  I might head down for a bit later but plan to stay on the gravel portion of the driveway.
I'm not saying I'm on the executive or anything just might be a good idea with all the rain.(IE: please don't take this the wrong way)
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Hey Ed you can make all the common sense statements you want.
That's a good idea. Our parking area is still in poor shape.

Right now they are forecasting 25km winds with 44km gusts and a 70% chance of 1-3mm of rain.
Remember if you end up in the field you will be wearing 10lb. clumps of clay on each foot in seconds after all this rain.
You'll end up like Frank with his shoes stuck so bad he had to run back in his stockings carrying his shoes. Better be fit.

It looks pretty good outside right now, I might consider going to the field for a few laps.

What happened to everyone last night?  Training too hard on most of you Wednesday night?  Bill, Andy and myself arrived to an empty field with no people and especially NO wind.  Limited bugs and all.

I originally ran home from work, sent a bunch of emails off and everyone seemed to be busy.  So I loaded up my M1C from Balsa usa.  This is now my second one in green and cream.   I spent a few nights doing the conversion which was easy.  The only issue that I had was the ESC should have been mounted under the cowl for cooling.

Bill flew his Bee Gee R3 and Andy his sportster.  My first flight was a bit hard as the plane has a bad adverse yah effect similar to a DR-1.  Once you get your mind into DR-1 mod, it flew better.  It needs rudder on all the turns.  Landing was fun as the fixed landing gear bounces a bit.

I will make the required changes and try it again, looked great in the sky.  I am hoping to get out there tonight, but with the light rain right now, it looks like a building night!

It did look good last night, but I had other things going on so I couldn't make it.

I bet with all the rain today the field will be pretty wet.

Today looks good!  Might get out later but the honey do list is lingering.
