Is anyone thinking of going today.  I had a bad Monthend at the office and got home rather late.  Thinking all the way home of open skies!   Looks to be about 16K winds right now, but it could be OK later on.   After flying the P40, I might grab the spitfire or something for tonight.  It would be nice to see a few guys out.

Any day at the field is a good day :)

I was just out cycling. The wind is way more than 17kph downtown. More like 25 - 35kph. I'll take a pass today. I'll stay home and keep working on my RC workshop todo list.

Looks pretty good here in aurora.

Too bad my social planner has other ideas for me...

Besides an impending storm rolling in.. I might head out for a bit! :-\

thehaze

When isn't there an impending storm rolling in?

This weather sucks. Although I've never had greener grass this late into the summer ever..

Never made it. Weather was crazy. So worked on some repairs and a cold beer.

Dang. 38km wind gusts in the forecast today. That puts a damper on things.

thehaze

Yeah,  but then wind mapper is forecasting 15mph which isn't great,  but somewhat better.

Not sure what to think.  This isn't summer,  but more like the longest autumn ever.

I am heading tonight as the weather looks pretty good.  Anyone else?

I just went out to soothe that flying itch... With a maiden of my enticement. I figured I would get it because even if I didn't like it I can just rip out the electronics and build the Yak 55 Ed posted the plans to (thanks Ed! Already bought the foam for it).

This plane does not like wind.. At all. No damage thankfully, my dad made a nice catch once I brought it close.

Is it some sort of profile foamy?

Probably more of an end of the day flyer on Wednesdays I'm guessing.

Yeah it's a foamie pattern/3D plane. E-Flite discontinued it a few years ago

Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?
