Website updates

Hi all,
I was running into a few problems on the main TEMAC.ca website which lead me to upgrade the wordpress skin that I originally used...which then broke everything. You might have noticed that it looked very broken for a few hours yesterday. Well I believe I've rebuilt everything close to as it was. Please let me know if you notice anything that's still messed up.

I also made a few improvements:

• Look and feel. The new skin is nicely slick with a better topnav feel, better adaptation to different screen sizes, and is touch-friendly for those on iPads and other tablets. It should also theoretically be a little faster to load.
• Event calendar. Jack asked if I could help him with a better events calendar and had the great idea of using Google Calendar. I embedded a live Google Calendar into the site that contains all of the TEMAC events. All Jack and other event organizers have to do is update the calendar in their gmail and it will reflect onto the site immediately. Pretty nifty. Check it out here: http://temac.ca/?page_id=298
• Photo galleries. I've "fixed" the photo galleries which were misbehaving under the old skin when large photos were uploaded (ahem, Andy). So now a beautiful new lightbox is used to display gallery images. Note to admins: when uploading new galleries you have to select "Link to: Media File" in the gallery editor-- See attached image.
• Twitter. TEMAC will make occasional announcements via @TEMACRC on twitter. The latest tweet from the TEMAC account is now displayed on the homepage of TEMAC.ca. Be sure to follow TEMAC on twitter here https://twitter.com/temacrc

Thanks for doing all this work. We have a fab website.

Just one thing on the calendar . On an iPhone, you can only see the first 3 columns, so Mon, Tues and Wed. Unless I'm being stupid.....

Yep same on android phone only sun,mon and tue here.

Great work as usual on the site Ben.  As for looking broken or having troubles I never noticed ANY!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I've added some code to make the calendar resize responsively to the display width (as the rest of the site does) and also made it default to "agenda" view to make it more readable. Agenda works well actually because events are so far apart in general.
