Gravel

The Board okayed more gravel for the parking lot and it arrived today. The trucking company did a fairly good job of spreading it but it wouldn't hurt if for the next week or so you brought a rake when you come to fly and helped smooth the gravel out.
Pictures below are of the parking lot being gravelled today. Finished product...? You'll have to come to the field to see!

I will bring a rake with me this weekend and have a go.

Thanks to Aurora guy Bruce and Greg Hazelton for shovelling and spreading gravel this morning. Bruce suggested we leave the remainder of the pile in the north turnaround area until we can wheelbarrow it to the area where the spreads from the truck didn't quite match up.
I will bring a wheelbarrow early next week but until then please don't further spread the pile in the north turnaround area. if you must (please do!) help out, please work on smoothing the parking area, not the turnaround...THANKS! and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Thanks again to Bruce Weaver who shovelled and raked again this morning between windy flights. Thanks also to the good samaritan who shovelled more gravel and put the shovel away last night...I think we're done for now. I have taken the wheelbarrow home.
