Have a couple of questions for the TEMACers.

1; I'm thinking of investing in the Tactic TTX650 tx and noticed that Tactic uses FHSS 2.4 the same as some of the Futaba tx/rx. Are the   Futaba and Tactic FHSS compatible?

2; Can anyone recommend a simple and inexpensive CAD program.

Sorry I can't help. Have no experience with either.

Same here otherwise I would have offered some input.

I use SolidWorks.  About $15,000 per licence.  Probably not what you're looking for.

How compatible? Tactic Tx with a Futaba Rx?

Contact this group and they should be able to answer all your questions.

Tactic is made by Futaba I believe.

I don't know about simple, but free is inexpensive. ;D

Draftsight is a Autocad clone put out by the makers of Solidworks (heretofore referred to as SW).

Designed I am sure so companies don't have to pay for Autodesk seats to be able to do proper 2D drawings (which SW is crappy at IMO)
This leaves more money to be spent on additional SW seats.

For "free to try" 3D software many use Rhino. Better surfacing than SW, although SW is getting better at that.
Less expensive than SW if you do decide to buy.

I have been using AutoCAD for over 20 years. It is not simple or inexpensive. You can find pirated ones on line but it is an absolute Bitch to learn. You want simple and inexpensive then paper and pencil. Not what you are looking for but based on my experience. Sorry.
