Giant scale club !

Welcome, Simon H, to the TEMAC 1/4 scale club.

(Simon bought the Dave Patrick Super Cub.)

TEMAC 1/4-scale flyers for 2014 so far include Robert, Glenn, Greg C, Simon and myself.

Have I missed anyone?

Will we be having a casual 1/4-scale flying-day?

I've changed the name of this thread from "1/4 scale" to "Giant scale", in order to reflect how other groups and clubs work.

Giant scale refers to model aircraft with wingspans of 80" or more, and biplanes with wingspans of 60" or more, and any true 1/4 scale model that may have a wingspan less than above.

This brings in more modellers into this 'group', which is more in line with the character of TEMAC.

I'm working on my own club...  The Giant Scale Flying Boat Club.  Colin will be the first official member... after he finished the Albatross.

But for now I'm glad to be a part of this club

Sounds like my 85" Norseman on floats would qualify?....(if I ever get it finished!) There has to be Canadian content...even in Giant Scale!
Dad and I have stated our next joint build, an Avro Anson which is also Giant Scale but no way it'll be in the air in 2014.

OK, it's not really a real club; it's just a fun way of saying we're part of a group of people who have bigger model airplanes, as long as your model fits in the following parameters:

Model aircraft with wingspans of 80" or more; biplanes with wingspans of 60" or more, or any true 1/4 scale model, even with a shorter wingspan.

Next you'll be wanting special times set aside so you can have the sky to yourselves.


Then you'll want your own fun fly with special high class food and catering.


After that it will be poker runs and I don't know what all foolishness.


And there goes the TEMAC, ruined!
