I had a chance to watch the maiden flights of the first Micro EDF's to take off on the new GEOTEX runway!  So much fun!

The jets fly a bit slower with landing gear, but taking off and landing make it so much more fun.

Our later, second flight was more coordinated.

We were highly impressed with just how much fun we could have with these tiny and moderately priced models. The fun/cost value is exceptional.

Anyway, bring out your micros next time, with landing gear!

Reminds me of trying to sleep in a tent with a mosquito trapped inside!   ;D

But, it does look like fun  :)

Bring your micro cub next time.

The runway will feel huge to such a small model.

I managed to land width wise on the taxi way with my little foam Laser200. At the end of the evening I had the GIANT smooth runway to myself and it was fun and challenging to do touch and goes repeatedly in its length. I think the wheels I was using are 1" and gave me more troubles on the pavement in front of my house.

Very enjoyable
Yea 400W/lb should about do it.. But wouldn't a nice round 500 be better?

Michael

I think I saw you do about 12 consecutive touch-n-goes on the length of the runway; you were muttering out loud: "touch-n-go-n-touch-n-go-n-touch-n-go-n-touch-n-go-n-touch-n-go-n-touch-go ... ".  ;D
