Fellow Pilots, recently CTV news has contacted MAAC regarding a short segment they would like to run specifically about multi rotors, their possible uses, how they are being used recreationally (Racing for example) and what newcomers to the hobby can expect. The email was forwarded to my attention, currently serving as Co-Chair of the multi rotor committee at MAAC, I see this as a great opportunity to encourage MAAC membership, and of course club membership, it is a great chance to create interest in the club environment.

Upon speaking with CTV, they tell me they would like a few pilots, preferably with varying types of multirotors between them, 4-5 would be great, so they may demonstrate how they vary and are used, for either recreational or commercial purposes. I was quick to recommend of course, that this should take place at a MAAC sanctioned club, and being a member of Seaton Valley RCMC, i am organizing the event there, though it was suggested to me by Brad Egan (Zone Director) that if CTV cannot go out to Seaton Valley for whatever reason on that day, we can certainly relocate to TEMAC or Mississauga.

CTV has a very specific timeframe, they inform me that it will have to be either Mon, Tues, or Wed next week, between NOON AND 1:00 PM, unfortunately this is smack in the middle of the work day, but if there are any interested multi rotor pilots, preferably owning multi's other than Phantoms, because I will already be providing mine, please respond, it will be fun, they are not looking to bombard individuals with questions, mainly get the vibe out there since "Drones" have been in the news so much recently, and we are on the heels of yet new TC regulations.

Good chance to get our club names out there!
Thank you...Eddie Jara

Hi Eddie, I have a 250 quad but my skill level isn't yet up to racing, I can go back and forth full speed without giving people haircuts (decent control) and can do flips but that is about it. I have ordered my fpv gear but haven't received it yet.
Zoltan would obviously have the skill and quads available, you may also want to try David Klein at Rotogeeks.com but he isn't part of TEMAC.
He also helps organize FPV races.
If you are desperate for people, I can make the time though but will need a heads up.

Thanks for your reply! i will contact zoltan, thank you,  but i should mention that in no way is this going to be a skills demonstration, more of a show and tell and info gathering thing, ill let you know asap if i need more pilots, theres no reason you couldn't join in!

I would suggest anyone who chooses to participate should understand absolutely clearly that this has nothing to do whatsoever with TEMAC, and any participants do not represent TEMAC.

This is not a TEMAC affiliated event. It has nothing to do with TEMAC.
