Fibreglassing a model- brilliant video tutorial

Ran across this video sponsored by the AMA on how to apply fibreglass cloth (3/4-1 oz cloth) to a model.

executive summary:
- thin the epoxy by 1/3 with denatured alcohol. Objective is the consistency of water*. 
- lay the fibreglass cloth over the project with excess draping over the edge.
- apply the epoxy with a 2" wide brush starting at the center and work your way out.
- let the excess drape over the edge and allow it to absorb epoxy.  Easily cut off with an X-Acto knife
- 3 coats i) to adhere the cloth ii) to fill the cloth pores iii) to add a smooth layer on top of the cloth.

It tried it on portions of the tug to test out. 
Absolutely brilliant.  It works like a charm.

As for alcohol, I use the pharmacy's Life Brand Isopropyl 99% alcohol (from Shoppers Drug Mart) at it works like a charm.

Wow!! Brilliant.  I just fibreglassed one half of the hull.  That was easy.  A perfect job.

After watching the video, I thought it would be a 6 out of 10 on the difficulty scale.  It was a 1 out of 10.

Hey, I just studied the video.  He's actually using 50% mix of alcohol, not 33%

He mixed the epoxy and then added the same amount of alcohol as the 2 parts of resin mixed!  That's crazy thin!
