Flying the 100" Flamingo last Sunday (maiden flight https://temac.ca/smf/index.php?topic=8933.0) inspired me to re-start this 145" project.  Photo of the 100" plane is below.

Status:
- fuse and built with radio installed, motor installed and canopy finished.

Next Step- The wings.

Problem: this kit was bought "as-is" with parts missing.
Main things missing: canopy (built one), spoiler parts (the mechanism was installed in the wing but the actual spoiler plates that move up and down are missing) and aileron/spoiler push rods (piano wire).

Decision:
The kit-supplied belcranks for the ailerons fit fine but they require 44" piano wire lengths to run inside the tubes already installed in the wings. Maximum length of hobby piano wire is 36".  No room for a joint.  A joint is risky as well.  decision- install a servo in each wing.  Problem- running the wire inside the wing without cutting the Obechie wood covering.

Next steps
- remove the factory installed aileron pushrod tube and use the slot to fish the wires for the servo.
- find some small powerful servos.  (metal gear)
- commence surgery.

The photo shows the old belcrank system supplied by the manufacturer that will not work.
