Vintage Model Flying

Can we do an old Timers Event?  I have a few goodies I would like to show off..

Count me in. My dad and I have a sixty year old FF that's being converted to RC which will be ready...sometime.

Looks like a 400 class Formosa race...

Takeoffs are optional. Landings are mandatory.

Michael

Most of our events are old-timer events.  ;D

(Age discrimination  :o)

I like to watch the videos from the Cocklebarrow Vintage Events! :)
I would like to see a casual flying event here but I wonder on the number of pilots who would attend.

That was a fun video to watch.  The old timers float around so nicely.

The narrator is funny and it was funny how they only use the first 5 feet of the landing strip  ;D

Thanks for sharing, Chris.

I have a nice ole Buzzard Bombshell that would love to participate in an Old Timers event!

Great idea, Greg!

Here is the companion to the other video but just shows Cocklebarrow in still pictures. Also includes commentary.

I would try to make it, barring conflicts with other contests :)

Just noticed that the Spirit of Yesteryear line of oldtimer kits is available once again... from Brodak Industries:

I guess people/members could always arrange an informal event day, and Pre arrange a day to meet at TEMAC. Sort of like the float flying. It wouldn't necessarily need to be a BBQ/fun fly type thing. Kind of like Battle of Britain day was this year (thanks to Bill.)

The poll we did earlier in the year did not have "Old Timers" in the top 5 events.

Papa

Wha* you can't change your mind EH!

Gordon that old Playboy looks awfully enticing.
