A last minute plan for a 3-hour indoor funfly turned into one of the most successful such events
held in recent memory in the GTA. After last years ‘tween X-mas and New Year’s TEMAC indoor funfly
at the Metro Golf Dome, another such event was announced just a few days prior to Dec. 27.
Well, we had 46 registered pilots, more than 100 models, and sometimes as many as 20 models
flying in the air at a time. Models ranged from micro scale to jumbo scale, docile to extreme 3D,
ARF’s to scratch-built gems, helis and experimental models. Thanks to Flying Stuff Hobbies from
Ajax for donating a model helicopter for a raffle, which was won by Paul Penna from Ottawa.
